2024 Collings 001 A T S

This 2024 Collings 001 A T S represents Collings' small bodied design at its finest. The "T" designation points to Collings' traditional bracing and build appointments.

The top is Adirondack spruce, prized for its exceptional headroom, wide dynamic range, and a stiffness to weight ratio that rewards everything from light fingerpicking to hard flatpicking. It's paired with Honduran mahogany back and sides, which bring the punchy, fundamental and dry, focused overtones that classic mahogany guitars are known for, along with excellent note separation between strings. Rounding things out is an ebony fretboard, jet black and tight grained, built to hold up to a lifetime of playing.

Collings builds its guitars in small batches out of Austin, Texas, with a level of tolerance and craftsmanship that's often compared to the finest vintage era instruments, but with the consistency modern manufacturing allows. This particular combination of Adirondack spruce and Honduran mahogany on a slope shoulder body is a pairing a lot of players seek out when they want vintage character in a guitar that's ready to play today.

This example is used but presents as like new. It has been meticulously cared for since it left the shop, with no player wear, dings, or finish flaws to speak of. It looks and feels essentially the way it did the day it came out of the Collings shop in Austin.
