2021 Collings CJ-45 A T

This Collings CJ-45 A T is Collings' take on the classic dreadnought, built in the Traditional Series with the voicing and appointments that made the original wartime era instruments so revered by players and collectors alike.

The top is Adirondack spruce, braced with Collings’ CJ-45 wartime scalloped X-brace pattern, a combination chosen specifically to open up the volume, headroom, and dynamic range this body style is known for. It's paired with Honduran mahogany back and sides, which give the guitar its deep, punchy low end and warm, woody midrange, along with a Honduran mahogany neck carved to the CJ-45 profile for a comfortable, substantial feel in the hand. The fingerboard is Indian rosewood with mother of pearl dot inlays.

Details throughout reflect Collings' attention to traditional appointments done right. The body is bound in ivoroid with no purfling, and the guitar carries no binding on the fingerboard or peghead for a cleaner, more vintage look. The ebony bridge uses a straight style layout with 2 5/16” string spacing, paired with a bone nut cut to 1 3/4 inches and a bone saddle. The headstock features Collings' haircut profile with a mother of pearl logo, fitted with nickel Waverly tuners and ivoroid buttons.

This CJ-45 A T is presented in like new condition, meticulously cared for with no dings, dents, or finish flaws to speak of. It brings together the tone, feel, and craftsmanship collectors and serious players look for in a slope shoulder dreadnought built the traditional way, and it's ready to be someone's next great guitar.
